Formation of a new dog population observed by pedigree and mtDNA analyses of the Polish Hovawart

The aim of the study was to evaluate changes in the gene pool of a dog population during the period of its formation. Pedigree and mtDNA analyses were performed on the Polish population of Hovawart dogs. A total of 192 litters of 93 dams and 115 sires were born between 1988 and 2008.

Oczywiście przede wszystkim ogłaszamy wszem i wobec, że VITA von der Jagsthöhe, wraz z przewodniczką Kasią, wystartowały w zawodach Obedience, zajęły trzecią lokatę i dostały super ocenę, bo bardzo dobrą! Gratulacje! Ale chociaż w zawodach najważniejszy jest, było nie było, start i wynik, to my mamy jeszcze dwie obserwacje: po pierwsze, jak fajnie jest, kiedy organizatorom się chce i w zawodach „o Złotego Zajączka” dbają o takie detale, jak złote balony lokatowe. A po drugie, choć tak naprawdę po pierwsze: czy Państwo widzą ten uśmiech Vity?! Piękne i bezcenne!
